About Chinos and Marshies

Our story

Hi, I’m Bek. Maker of tees, drinker of coffee, finder of tiny socks that never seem to have a matching pair, and mum to two wonderfully unique little humans.

Chinos and Marshies began with baby chino dates, extra marshmallows (always extra marshmallows), and a little person who reminded me that life isn’t a race and children don’t all grow, learn, or shine in the same way.

Motherhood taught me that every child has their own way of seeing the world. Some are loud, some are quiet, some are cautious, some are fearless, and every one of them deserves to feel celebrated for exactly who they are.

So I created Chinos and Marshies. An ethical children’s clothing brand for little originals. Every piece is thoughtfully made, built for everyday adventures, and designed to celebrate confidence, curiosity, imagination, and individuality.

Because the world doesn’t need children who all fit the same mould. It needs children who know they’re amazing just as they are.

At Chinos and Marshies, we believe great clothing starts with thoughtful design and responsible production. Every piece is designed here in Melbourne.

We partner with an ethical manufacturer who share our commitment to fair working conditions, responsible sourcing, and exceptional quality. They are:

They also use organic cotton and hemp blends.

Every piece is crafted from premium fabrics that are soft on sensitive skin, durable enough for everyday adventures, and made to be loved for years to come. From design to the final stitch, we value transparency, care, and creating clothing that celebrates every child’s unique spirit.

Packaging

We believe every detail matters. That’s why we keep our packaging simple, practical, and as low impact as possible. Our garments are shipped in paper garment bags, without traditional swing tags, and any tags we do use are made from 100% cotton.
